Dwight Gooden headed to Deer Park

Former Mets All-Star and Cy Young Award winner Dwight Gooden will be at the Deer Park Fire Department's firehouse next Sunday to sign autographs as part of a collectibles show.

The April 28 event, which is also a firehouse fundraiser, begins at 10 a.m. and runs through 4 p.m.

Gooden will sign autographs from noon to 2 p.m. All autographs cost $25, though inscriptions cost an additional $15.

Gooden was the rookie of the year in 1984, and was the Cy Young Award winner, the annual award given to the league's best pitcher, in 1985.

He was also a pivotal member of the Mets last World Series winning team, in 1986.

Gooden would later pitch for the Yankees in 1996, 1997 and 2000, throwing a no-hitter for the Yanks in 1996.

Here are Gooden's career statistics.
