Residents are invited to participate in the Town of Babylon's annual Beach Blast events free of charge.
Events will include relay contests, games, rides and the annual Ice Cream Eating Contest. Music and face painting will also be available. Musical entertainment provided by Full House, Steakum Tuesday and County Line. The day will culminate with the 18th annual fireworks extravaganza, beginning at dusk by Long Island's own Bay Fireworks.
Parking is free to residents with recreation permits. Additional parking is available at Cedar Beach and Cedar Beach Marina for residents only with a 2012 recreation permit.
