Greybarn Community Gives Back

Local Partnership Fed More than 2,000 Residents this Thanksgiving

Greybarn Amityville—a luxury rental community built by Long Islanders, for Long Islanders—recently partnered with the Circle of Love Ministry Food Pantry to donate more than 2,000 Thanksgiving dinners to area residents. The donation is part of Greybarn Amityville’s overarching mission and guiding principle to foster a sense of community to improve the lives of those around you.

“It’s a privilege to be able to partner with local organizations and help put a delicious meal on the table of those in need this Thanksgiving,” said Michael Loeffler, Community Director at Greybarn Amityville. “The Greybarn community is all about being a good neighbor so we’re proud to contribute to such a worthwhile cause and brighten the day for so many people.”

The Circle of Love Ministry Food Pantry worked hand in hand with the Bethesda Seventh Day Adventist Church in Amityville who has now partnered with Greybarn on this event for the second year in a row. Volunteers gathered at the Church early Thanksgiving morning to begin prepping the meals. Each of the meals was then packaged up and delivered to a network of partners throughout the area to ensure all those who needed a Thanksgiving dinner got one. In addition, meals were delivered directly to the doors of those who could not leave their homes.
