Hometown Hero: Dedicated Nurse Cares For COVID-19 Patients
Darian Lee Joseph was nominated by her brother for putting in countless hours taking care of patients as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital.

NORTH BABYLON, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.
Peter Joseph nominated his sister, Darian Lee Joseph, a Registered Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
The North Babylon resident was nominated because of her 40 years of dedicated work as a NICU nurse. Most recently, she has been putting in countless hours of overtime caring for coronavirus patients.

The single mother has also raised two sons as well as working full time as a nurse and earning a college degree.
