Joe's Crab Shack Opens in Deer Park Tuesday, First 100 Customers Win Free Crab For a Year

Joe’s Crab Shack will open its doors in Deer Park on Tuesday, but the line outside the restaurant should be plenty long well before the 11 a.m. opening.

As is Joe’s tradition, the first 100 customers at the new location will win free crab for a year. All customers on opening day will also be entered to win a chance at free crab for life at the restaurant, which is located at 1700 The Arches Circle in the Tanger Outlets.

When Joe’s opened its Riverhead restaurant last year, some seafood fans arrived as early as 21 hours ahead of the opening to make sure they were first through the doors.

Joe’s Crab Shack, which was founded in Houston in 1991, has more than 130 locations in 33 states. The Deer Park location will be the ninth Joe’s in New York.

The Deer Park restaurant is bringing more than 250 jobs to the community and it features a 200-seat dining area to accommodate any size party, along with an outdoor playground for children and an outdoor patio.

“We are excited to be the first seafood restaurant at the Deer Park Tanger Outlet,” Joe’s Crab Shack’s General Manager Joanne DeBarbieri said in a news release. “We know our signature crab dishes, 100 percent shore service and casual atmosphere provide the perfect rest and recharge opportunity for busy shoppers and neighborhood visitors.”

The Deer Park Joe’s will be open seven days a week; 11 a.m.- midnight on Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.- 2 a.m. on Friday-Saturday.
