DEER PARK, NY — A Long Island woman stabbed her ex-boyfriend's 85-year-old mother to death and then turned the knife on him, causing serious injuries at their home Thursday afternoon, Suffolk cops say.
Thirty-year-old Shaquela Titley stabbed Marie Mille, the mother of her ex-boyfriend, and then her son, Joseph Mille, when he returned to their Deer Park home, police said. Mille got out of the home and called 911 from a neighbor's house at about 12:20 p.m., according to police.
Detectives are continuing the investigation to determine the time of the first stabbing, police said.
Marie Mille was pronounced dead at the home by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Forty-seven-year-old Joseph Mille was taken to a local hospital where he needed surgery for "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries," police said.
