Long Island Columbus Day Parade Returns To Deer Park: What To Know

DEER PARK, NY — The 2026 Long Island Columbus Day Parade will return to Deer Park on Oct. 10, bringing together Italian-American organizations, families and community groups from across Long Island for a celebration of Italian-American heritage.

The free event, presented by the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, will begin with a ceremony at noon at the Deer Park Lake Avenue Firehouse, followed by the parade at 1 p.m., Town of Babylon Councilman Anthony Manetta said.

"We are honored to bring our annual parade back to the Town of Babylon and thank the Town for its continued hospitality and support," Arthur Spera, state president of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, said. "This event celebrates Italian-American culture and brings together families, businesses, and organizations from across Long Island."

The parade will travel along Deer Park Avenue and Lake Avenue before ending at the Constantino Brumidi Lodge #2211, at 2075 Deer Park Avenue. Participants will include Sons and Daughters of Italy lodges from across Long Island, along with Italian-American and local community organizations.

"We are proud to once again host the Long Island Columbus Day Parade," said Manetta, an honorary chairman of the parade. "The Town of Babylon is home to one of the largest Italian-American communities on Long Island. This is a special day for our community to come together and celebrate our shared heritage, history, and traditions."

Following the parade, festivities will continue at the Brumidi Lodge with food trucks, rides, arts and crafts vendors, live music and other attractions. Admission and parking are free.
