Man Fired Gun, Narrowly Missed People at Deer Park Strip Club: Police
BREAKING: A 23-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for the incident earlier this month, police say.

DEER PARK, NY – A 23-year-old Islip man was arrested on Tuesday for firing a handgun in a crowded strip club in Deer Park earlier this month, police said.
Richard McFarlane got into an altercation at the Illusions Gentlemen’s Club, located at 3 Saxwood St., on Sept. 2 at about 3:30 a.m., police said. McFarlane fired a bullet that struck a rear wall and narrowly missed employees and patrons in the club, police said.
McFarlane was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment as well as an additional charge of first degree robbery for his involvement in an armed robbery in the parking lot after the shooting, police said.

McFarlane was held overnight at the First Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court on Wednesday.
Illusions has been the scene of other shootings in the past. A man was killed outside the club in 2014. In 2015, two men were shot inside the club; they both survived.
