Man Fires Gun At North Babylon LA Fitness, No One Hurt: PD

NORTH BABYLON, NY — A man fired a gun at a Long Island gym on Tuesday night, Suffolk County Police said.

According to police, two men became involved in an altercation at an LA Fitness located at 1230 Deer Park Avenue at about 7:50 p.m. One of the men then discharged a gun inside the gym, police said, but no one was shot.

During the altercation, one man sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said.

The gunman was arrested and taken to the First Precinct, police said.
