Man Found Dead In Snow By Workers Out Shoveling In Suffolk: Police

Workers shoveling snow discovered the man's body near a walkway at a Deer Park housing complex Monday afternoon, police say.

DEER PARK, NY — Suffolk County police are investigating after a man was found dead outside a housing complex in Deer Park on Monday afternoon, police said.

According to police, workers shoveling snow discovered a body buried in the snow near a walkway at a housing complex located at 7 Parkcenter Drive around 3:45 p.m.

Officers responded to the scene and the man was pronounced dead there, police said.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death. However, detectives believe the cause of death to be non-criminal, police said.

The official cause of death will be determined by an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
