Update: WYANDANCH, NY - Suffolk Police have identified the man found murdered in Wyandanch on Wednesday night as Hugh James, of Deer Park. Original story: WYANDANCH, NY - Suffolk Police are investigating the murder of a man in a commercial town car in Wyandanch Wednesday night. Officers responded to Lake Drive after a 911 caller reported hearing a crash at 6:45 p.m. When officers arrived they found an adult male in the driver's seat with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
