Man Shot During Armed Robbery at Deer Park Auto Repair Shop
The incident occurred Saturday morning, police say.
DEER PARK, NY - Police are investigating an armed robbery and shooting that occurred at an auto repair shop in Deer Park Saturday morning.
According to police, two men wearing ski masks and gloves entered Ultimate Transmission Inc., located at 2 Saxwood St., at about 5 a.m. and demanded cash. A confrontation ensued and a gunman fired two shots, hitting an employee in the leg, police said.
The two men fled on foot with cash and jewelry, police said.

The male employee was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of his injury, police said.
Both suspects are described as 5-foot-10 with a thin build.
