Man Shot During Robbery In Wyandanch

WYANDANCH, NY - A man was shot and robbed in Wyandanch on Saturday night, according to Suffolk Police.

Officers responded to a 911 call of shots fired at the corner of Straight Path and N 11th Street at 10:50 p.m.

When they arrived they found a 34-year-old Wyandanch man on that corner with two gunshot wounds to his leg.

The man had been assaulted, robbed and shot by another man who fled the scene. The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Two unoccupied parked cars were also struck by bullets. The cars were impounded for evidence.
