Man Stole Car With 8-Year-Old Inside, Left Child At Bagel Shop

DEER PARK, NY - Suffolk Police are looking for man who stole a car with a child inside in Deer Park on Friday morning.

A man left a 2007 Acura unlocked with his 8-year-old daughter inside when he went into 7-Eleven on 7 Bay Shore Road at 7:20 a.m.

While the father was inside the store, a man pulled up in a red van and entered the Acura and drove away with the child still inside.

A short time later, the man dropped off the child in the parking lot of West Islip Hot Bagels on 544 Hunter Avenue in West Islip and fled in the car. The child was not injured.
