More Than 12,000 Bees Found In North Babylon Home
The bees had to be professionally extracted from the home.
NORTH BABYLON, NY — One home in North Babylon is receiving quite the buzz.
According to a Newsday report, more than 12,000 honeybees were extracted from the house on Tuesday.
The bees first appeared two weeks ago, the report said, and quickly grew by the hundreds, infiltrating the home's pipes, basement and laundry room.

The unwanted house guests were then professionally extracted by Tony Bees, a retired NYPD detective, and transferred to Orange County, New Jersey, the report said.
