N. Babylon's Green Eyes Title With Spurs

Hoops star finds his place in supporting role for San Antonio.

As the San Antonio Spurs work towards a possible fifth NBA title in franchise history, North Babylon’s Danny Green is playing a key supporting role on a team lead by superstars Tim Duncan and Tony Parker.

Throughout the 2012 playoffs, Green is averaging 9.2 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game for the Spurs who are facing the Oklahoma City Thunder for the right to play in the NBA finals.

But Green’s route to the conference finals and perhaps beyond was not easy. According to a recent report on MySanAntonio.com, Green was cut by the Spurs 16 months ago and was back home in North Babylon wondering what his next step would be.
