North Babylon Boy Scout Troop 399 Observes Scout Sunday

Scout Sunday was observed at St. Paul's Reformed Church in North Babylon on Feb. 4, 2018. The members of Boy Scout Troop attended church together with their families and fulfilled one of the basic tenets of the Scout Law which is "A Scout is Reverent".
Boy Scouts of America was incorporated on Feb. 8, 1910. Each year since then, BSA has celebrated its birthday on Scout Sunday, the Sunday prior to Feb. 8 (or Feb. 8 itself if that's a Sunday). Across the United States, BSA members stage demonstrations of their Scouting skills, hold recognition dinners or, in the case of some Scout units, attend church as a Troop.
Boy Scout Troop 399 meetings are held each Thursday evening that schools are open at 7:30pm in the Marion G. Vedder Elementary School cafeteria.
