North Babylon BSA Venturing Crew 399 Makes Hoods for Hospitals

The scouts of Venturing Crew 399, North Babylon have been taking the Boy Scout motto "do a good turn daily" to heart. For the past month the scouts have been making Tyvek hoods for Catholic Health Services- Good Samaritan Hospital and Northwell Health - Southside Hospital. So far, they have delivered 100 hoods to hospital workers serving on the front lines during the COVID 19 crisis. They will be making an additional 100 hoods in the next few weeks.

Venturing Crew 399 is a Boy Scout Crew based in North Babylon, NY and a member of the Sagtikos District of BSA’s Suffolk County Council. Venturing Crew 399 is a BSA youth organization for boys, girls and young adults ages 14-20 and sponsored by the Lions Club of North Babylon. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults.
