North Babylon High School Student Named LI Scholar Artist
Haylee Fox was selected as a Long Island scholar artist in the area of theater for the 2021 to 2022 school year.
NORTH BABYLON, NY — A North Babylon High School student has been recognized for her outstanding performance in theater.
The North Babylon School District announced Friday that Haylee Fox has been selected as a Long Island scholar artist in the area of theater for the 2021 to 2022 school year through the Long Island Arts Alliance.
Each year the Long Island Scholar Artist program recognizes students who excel academically and in the areas of either music, visual arts, dance, theater or media arts. She is one of 20 selected Scholar Artists from across Long Island and will be featured in a June Newsday issue.

“It was thrilling to me and I was very surprised,” Fox said about her achievement. “It meant so much to me to win that award and it meant so much to my family as well.”
North Babylon High School Principal Jonathan Klomp said that along with being an “incredibly talented artist and overall student,” Fox is also the president of several school organizations, including the National Honor Society, the Drama Club and International Thespian Society.
