North Babylon Man Seriously Injured After Car Hits Utility Pole: Police
A Connecticut man was hospitalized after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole late Monday night, police say.
NORTH BABYLON, NY — A man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday night in North Babylon, according to Suffolk County police.
Police said Andrew Mruczek, 48, of Norwalk, Connecticut, was driving a 2025 Toyota Camry northbound on Deer Park Avenue near Parkdale Drive at approximately 9:40 p.m. when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Mruczek was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Department First Squad are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
