Officer Injured In Foot Pursuit Of Runaway Driver: Police
The driver led officers on a short car chase before crashing and attempting to run away, police say.
WYANDANCH, NY - A Suffolk Police officer was injured while running after a driver who led cops on a chase in Wyandanch on Sunday afternoon.
A short car chase ended in a minor crash on the corner of Little East Neck Road and Brooklyn Avenue at 4:30 p.m., police said.
The driver fled on foot but was apprehended and arrested a short time later.
