Postal Worker In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Car
The postal worker was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital on Tuesday afternoon.

NORTH BABYLON, NY - A postal worker is in critical condition after being struck by a car in North Babylon on Tuesday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
Stefano Belloisi, 51, of Deer Park was driving a Lincoln Continental westbound on Prairie Drive at 1:57 p.m. when his car veered off the road, police said.
He struck the 40-year-old postal worker from Bayport, who was outside his vehicle, a postal truck, a fire hydrant and a telephone pole, police said.

The postal worker was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said. An online fundraiser for the worker, identified as Michael Martinez, has already raised more than $11,500 toward a $15,000 goal. Find the fundraiser here.
Belloisi was charged with reckless driving and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.
