Robert Moses Middle School Students Honor National Library Week

Sixth graders teamed up to draw pictures and messages using chalk to promote library use and support.

Sixth grade students at Robert Moses Middle School in North Babylon are celebrating National Library Week. Students in Kristin Callahan’s class discussed the benefits and uses of a library, while also sharing what they love most about libraries. As a follow-up to the discussion, the sixth graders drew images that depicted their favorite books.

Students also came up with designs centered around supporting local libraries. Those designs came to life on the sidewalks of the school grounds. The sixth graders teamed up to draw pictures and messages using chalk to promote library use and support.
