2 Dead in LI Motorcycle Crashes Just Hours Apart
A 24-year-old motorcyclist was killed after crashing with a car full of kids Sunday evening. A second crash was reported earlier that day.

DEER PARK, NY - A second motorcyclist was killed in another fatal Suffolk crash reported on Sunday.
Brendan Coolbaugh, 24, was riding a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Bay Shore Road in Deer Park when his motorcycle collided with a 2011 Mazda CX 9 traveling southbound on Bay Shore Road and turning left into a gas station at 5 p.m.
Coolbaugh, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The driver of the Mazda, 32-year-old Janiece Wimbush, of Wyandanch, and her five minor children, ranging in age from 4-months to 12-years-old, were driven by a family member to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for evaluation.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
