Skateboarder Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Cop Car: PD
The 28-year-old was hit while the officers were responding to a call, police say.

WYANDANCH, NY - A skateboarder was seriously injured after being struck by a cop car in Wyandanch on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Two officers in a marked SUV were traveling southbound on Straight Path near the intersection of South 24th Street when they struck 28-year-old Michael Moccasin, who was riding a skateboard northbound in the center turning lane of the road at 5:10 p.m., police said.
The officers were responding to a call and had their emergency lights operating, police said.

Moccasin, of Wyandanch, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The two officers were not injured.

The police vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
