Statewide Primary Petitioning ends Tuesday March 17th

Democratic Signatures for Maryann Maltese due by March 17 @ 12noon.

Governor Andrew Cuomo has changed NYS Board of Elections Petitioning requirements by Executive Order changing deadline requirements and reducing the amount of signatures Candidates need to be eligible to be listed on the Ballot. The new deadline to collect signatures is March 17th, at 5pm instead of March 30th.

I'll be around the district today and tomorrow gathering final petition signatures; any and all petitions can be dropped off to 19 Ringler Drive, East Northport, NY or registered voters can also stop by and pick up a petition to sign. We need 150 voter registrants to sign to qualify on the line.

Petitioning is about having a Choice of Candidate's on the line for residents of the 12th district to consider as their future State Assembly Leader. Maryann Maltese has 18 years of experience inside the NYS Legislature and has worked with Members who have development emergency healthcare management crisis plans. "It's not going to be easy to be the next NYS Assembly Member as we will not have a Member in Albany to vote for the 12th AD in our State Budget due to pass April 1st, 2020. In fact, the prior Assemblyman wasn't an advocate for us at all and resigned when the 12th AD needed him the most; to run for Township Position. If the prior Assemblymember had retired at the end of 2018, instead of thinking of himself, be resigning 6 months into his 2019 term of office; then the 12th AD would have a Member in Albany right now to manage multiple crisis's that he left unmanaged. Andrew Raia bailed on the NYS Assembly District # 12 at the height of the moment we needed him most; not securing State Funding to deal with the Closure and Health Issues at Northport Middle School, being in contact with NYS DEC throughout his tenure in the State Legislature to make sure Northport Middle School Campus had the resources they needed to keep the school and the school grounds free of contaminants, securing capitol funding to have Business Improvement Districts throughout the 12th AD and not just for Huntington Township.

I'm running for the NYS Assembly Seat to clean up the mess the former NYS Assemblyman Left behind; by not being there for our district. I have 18 years of Regional Planning with the NYS Legislature, so I would say; my background warrants the opportunity to be on the ballot for the Statewide Primary of June 23rd.

Voter Party Signatures are due by tomorrow, March 16th, 2020. Lets give (COVID-19) a swift kick...
