Tanger Outlets Reopen in Deer Park

Shopping center is in operation and putting on a Halloween trick-or-treat event Wednesday.

Tanger Outlets at the Arches will be reopening today in Deer Park, the center announced Tuesday night.

Superstorm Sandy forced the outlets to shut down both Monday and Tuesday, but the shops are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 31, which is perfect timing for all of the ghosts, goblins, ghouls, princesses and super heroes in the area to do some safe trick-or-treating.

As debris, trees, branches and power outages still cover much of Deer Park and North Babylon, trick-or-treating at the outlets offers children a safe place to show off their costumes and get in on the Halloween fun.
