Teen Bicyclist Struck By Car In Deer Park, Hospitalized: Police
A teen bicyclist was hospitalized after a crash at a busy Deer Park roadway, police say.
DEER PARK, NY — A 15-year-old bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Deer Park on Monday morning, Suffolk County police said.
The teen was riding a bicycle east on Grand Boulevard when he was hit by a 2008 Toyota traveling south on Deer Park Avenue at around 10:26 a.m., according to police.
The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police said the bicyclist disregarded a traffic control device before the crash.
The driver of the Toyota, an adult woman who was alone in the vehicle, was not injured, police said.
