Town Of Babylon: Several Town Pools Closed The Week Of August 30th

Can you believe it’s the end of summer already? Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor and Parks & Recreation Chairman Tony Martinez and the rest of the Babylon Town Board would like to extend a thank you to all the lifeguards and seasonal parks department employees who’ve helped facilitate another successful summer in the Town of Babylon.

As students prepare to head back to school next week, please be advised that several of our pool facilities will have to close during the week of August 30th due to a shortage of lifeguards and staff. The changes are as follow:
Monday 8/30: Only Phelps Lane Pool and North Lindenhurst Pool will open.

Tuesday 8/31: Only Phelps Lane Pool and North Lindenhurst Pool will open.
Wednesday 9/1: Only Phelps Lane Pool and North Lindenhurst Pool will open.
Thursday 9/2: Only Phelps Lane Pool will open.
Friday 9/3: Only Phelps Lane Pool and North Lindenhurst Pool will open.
Saturday 9/4: All Pools Open
Sunday 9/5: All Pools Open
Monday 9/6: All Pools Open
***ALL POOL PLANS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT EACH FACILITY DURING THIS TIME***
Please note that these changes only affect the pool facilities. The spray parks, and the bay and ocean beaches will operate on their normal daily schedules through the end of the season, which is Labor Day.
