DEER PARK, NY — Three people were arrested after crashing a car through the front window of a Deer Park business and stealing merchandise early Wednesday, according to Suffolk police. First Precinct Sgt. Robert Desanto pulled over a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe for having "an inadequate headlight" on Deer Park Avenue at 12:35 a.m., police said. Desanto then found glass on the back bumper of the Chevrolet, along with multiple cartons of cigarettes and boxes of vape pens inside the car, police said.

While the sergeant was interviewing the three occupants, a radio call came in reporting a burglary at Smoke Hub on 15 Bay Shore Rd. in Deer Park, where cigarettes and vape pens were stolen, police.

Detectives charged the driver of the car, 52-year-old Stanley Emerson, of Brentwood, along with his passengers, 32-year-old Keith Pasha, of Bay Shore, and 36-year-old Jacqueline DiPalma, of Hauppauge, with third-degree burglary, police said.
