Two Students Honored At Virtual Scholar Artist Awards Ceremony

The Scholar Artist program mirrors the region's Scholar Athlete programs.

North Babylon High School seniors Gabriella-Doreen Felice and Kaitlyn Marcis were
recognized during a virtual ceremony held by the Long Island Arts Alliance on April 29.
Earlier this school year, Felice and Marcis received Awards of Merit as part of the Scholar
Artist Program. Felice was recognized for her work in theater and Marcis was honored for
her excellence in dance.

The Scholar Artist program mirrors the region’s Scholar Athlete programs. It
recognizes high school seniors who are nominated by their school districts for excelling in
the visual arts, music, dance, theater or media. 20 students are selected to receive an
Award of Merit each year.
