On April 29, the North Babylon English as a New Language (ENL) department hosted its first virtual ENL Family Night.

On April 29, the North Babylon English as a New Language (ENL) department
hosted its first virtual ENL Family Night. In celebration of National Book Day, ENL students
and their families were invited to contribute a read-aloud in any language to a shared
Flipgrid board prior to the event.

At the virtual event, ENL teachers facilitated a variety of online games that students
were able to join. They were also invited to view a bedtime story from the Flipgrid library.
Additionally, resources about the New York State English as a Second Language
Achievement Test (NYSESLAT) including videos and documents, were available for parents
to access on a Google Classroom page. Students and families enjoyed the evening, even
through a screen!
