Volunteers Serve Good Cheer At Wyandanch Church

WYANDANCH, NY - Volunteers from PSEG Long Island’s Employee Business Resource Group, The Alliance, recently hosted a monthly Pasta Saturday at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Wyandanch.

Every fifth Saturday since 2016, the Alliance group sets up, prepares and serves 100 local
residents and families to supplement the Mercy Inn Soup Kitchen, which feeds people Monday through Friday.

The volunteers also help to clean up and pack "to-go" meals for the guests to take with them.

"There’s no better feeling than giving back to the communities where we live and work," Gregory Nichols, president PSEG Long Island’s The Alliance said. "We’ve been doing this for a number of years, so you get to know many of the people who attend the dinner. That makes it especially rewarding."
