West Babylon’s Pre-K Lottery Open For 2022-2023 School Year
The first 78 students to be selected in the lottery will be eligible to attend the pre-kindergarten program at no cost.
WEST BABYLON, NY — The West Babylon School District announced on Monday that the lottery for its universal prekindergarten program for the 2022-2023 school year is officially open.
To be eligible for the full-day UPK program, children must be 4 years old on or before December 1, 2022, a press release said. All applicants will be selected by a lottery.
Applications can be found on the West Babylon School District website at www.wbschools.org. The lottery will take place virtually on April 29 at 10 a.m. The Zoom link for the lottery will be posted on the website prior to going live.

According to a press release, the first 78 students to be selected in the lottery will be eligible to attend the program at no cost to the families.
According to a press release, the program will be funded by a New York State grant. The UPK program will be run by SCOPE and will be housed at John F. Kennedy, Tooker Avenue and Santapogue elementary schools.

The selected families will need to complete additional documents required by SCOPE.
To participate in this lottery, all completed forms and required documentation must be submitted via email to central registration at WBregistration@wbschools.org or hand delivered to the central administration registration office at 10 Farmingdale Road, West Babylon, NY 11704 or fax 631-376-7019 by 4 p.m. on April 20.
Transportation must be provided to and from the program.
