Woman Struck Seriously Injured In Car Strike In West Babylon: PD
The woman, who had been crossing Straight Path, was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, Suffolk police said.
WEST BABYLON, NY — A 45-year-old woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a car in West Babylon on Tuesday night, Suffolk County police said.
Police said that just before 9 p.m. Carissa Sanchez was crossing Straight Path eastbound, between 12th and 13th streets, when she was struck by a northbound 1994 Ford Tempo, which was being driven by Odette Zayas.
Sanchez of Brooklyn, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of “serious injuries,” police said, adding, Zayas, 26, of Brentwood, was not injured in the crash.
