15 Flatbush Straphangers Pepper-Sprayed On 2 Train, Cops Say

Police are looking for the man who showered a crowded subway car in pepper spray Saturday night.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN -- A car full of 2 train riders were pepper sprayed Saturday night when a fight broke out between a passenger and his intended target, police said.

The spray-happy straphanger began arguing with a fellow passenger on a southbound 2 train station near the Beverly road subway station at about 9:05 p.m., police said.

The outraged subway rider whipped out a can with an unknown substance and sprayed his target, plus 15 other passengers, said police.

Both men fled the station on Beverly Road and Nostrand Avenue and medics took 15 people to an nearby hospital to be treated for nausea and skin irritation, police said.

Police are now looking for the assailant, whom they describe as a man in his 30s, standing about 5-foot 10-inches, weighing about 245 pounds, sporting eye glasses, a black shirt, dark pants and a backpack.
