2-Alarm Blaze Erupts In Flatbush Home, Says FDNY

More than 100 firefighters rushed to extinguish the blaze on New York Avenue, an FDNY spokesman said.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — A massive blaze erupted in a Flatbush home Tuesday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

More than 100 firefighters rushed to the red brick building at 1255 New York Ave., near Clarendon Road, around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, an FDNY spokesman said.

It took firefighters more than an hour to put out the flames on the first and second stories; the blaze was under control by 3 p.m., FDNY said.

There were no injuries reported, said FDNY.
