FLATBUSH— An off-duty New York City police officer faces sexual abuse charges after allegedly groping a woman inside a Brooklyn lounge, police said.
Jerry Arce, 31, allegedly touched the woman's breast and genitals without her consent around 7 p.m. on May 25 at PiCH, a Caribbean restaurant and lounge on Flatbush Avenue near Clarkson Avenue in Flatbush, according to a criminal complaint.
The woman told a New York Police Department Special Victims Unit detective that she sat to Arce's left when he placed his hand on her breast, then moved it between her thighs and touched her genitals, according to the complaint.
When she looked at him, he quickly withdrew his arm, the complaint states.
Arce faces charges of sexual abuse, forcible touching and harassment in Brooklyn Criminal Court. The court released him.
