Ditmas Park Before and Now - Vox Pop

A look back at older Ditmas Park featuring Vox Pop then and now.

Looking through my picture files and thought I'd share some vintage shots of Vox Pop coffee shop that had been on the corner of Stratford and Cortelyou Road. Vox Pop had been a very unique establishment that not only served coffee but also served something to feed the soul as well, with it's open mic that gave a stage to local musicians, poets and authors. The stage also saw the likes of kid friendly performers such as Rolie Polie Guacamole, and loads of art on the walls by local artists. But life moves on and we have new coffee shops and we have yet to see what will incarnate it's place.

Just an as fyi there are two different Statue of Liberties in the photos because the original in the lead photo had been abducted and had been seen on youtube being decapitated. No one to my understanding had been apprehended in the case.
