Free Movie Nite at All Souls Bethlehem Church

ASBC All Souls Bethlehem Church, 566 East 7th Street (btwn Cortelyou & Ditmas), is starting a monthly free movie night. This month showing date is Friday June 29th @ 7PM, featuring the film STRANGER THAN FICTION with Will Ferrell as an IRS agent that hears a voice in his head narrating his life. He then recognizes the voice is a famous author.  Things get interesting when hears that he is going to die. He must find the author and convince her (Emma Thompson) to change the ending. PG 13

“What in the world is a church doing sponsoring a movie night?” you might ask.  Well here at ASBC we agree with Steve Martin’s character in Grand Canyon, who says “all of life’s great questions are answered in the movies.”  Okay maybe not all of life’s questions!  We’re also fond of Rilke’s maxim to “live the questions.”  But we’ve found that, for spiritual seekers who look to the arts for inspiration, movies are a great source!"
