Headless Jockey Rides Again
Headless lawn jockey on Slocum Place sports new look with a jock-o-lantern pumpkin head.
A lawn jockey on Stratford & Slocum Place had been vandalized back in August by having his head removed has been given a temporary new lease on life with this festive jock-o-lantern head. Mr. Paralla the owner of the lawn jockey said the jockey has been sitting on the property for 60 yrs and he pondered whether to remove him or try and find him another head. I hope the jockey stays since he is a part of our Ditmas Park history. And I like this creative solution.
