Student Sells Books on Cortelyou for College Fund
Avigail Najjar uses her entrepreneurial skills on Cortelyou, selling used books to help supplement her college fund.
Avigail Najjar, a sweet young lady that will be attending her first year at Antioch College this coming September, has come up with a unique way to help subsidize her school expenses and that's by selling used books right here on Cortelyou Road.
She was sitting there yesterday in the baking heat, a testament to her determination, which she does when she is not working at a part-time job. Her intention is to take art courses and see where that will lead her.
Well, if her work ethic is any indication of her future success, then I think she's got it in the bag. But in the meantime she has a little way to go on life's journey.

So if you happen to need some summer reading, stop by her makeshift store in front of Cinco De Mayo and pick up an item or two. Just an fyi – she sells kids books as well adult titles for whatever you want to pay, so the price is always right!
