Brooklyn College Pool Open

Brooklyn College has, at long last, opened its gorgeous new swimming pool -- including to the community.

The College's fee for the pool and brand new gym is $600 a year for community members, less if you've got a connection to the school, with spouses and kids a bit extra.

The summer hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays -- more details here -- and the college's Ken Broman told me they'll expand to 10-10 during the school year, though the pool will be off limits for a couple of hours a day for classes and practices.

The pool is also open to kids six and older, if accompanied by a guardian.
