Crawling Thief Robs 90-Year-Old Woman's Brooklyn Home, Cops Say

Police are looking for the woman who stole thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from an elderly Brooklyn woman.

EAST FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN -- A sneak thief was caught on camera crawling through a 90-year-old woman's home and stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, police said.

The woman snuck into the home near Avenue L and East 48th Street at about 4:45 p.m. last Monday, said police.

She dropped onto her hands and knees, scuffled across the apartment and jammed $2,000 in jewelry into a small backpack, according to police.

Police released photos of the woman, last seen wearing a white shirt and blue pants, on Sunday night, and asked anyone with information about the incident to contact the NYPD.
