Five Things to Do to Get Moving

Beginning at 12 p.m., this hour-long class is intended for adults and teens who have some previous experience with pilates. The class is being held at Midwood Martial Arts 1302 Avenue H and costs $14. For more information click here or call (718)258-5425.




Head back to Midwood Martial Arts for a 3:30 p.m. class that introduces children to the beginning moves of karate in a fun, supportive environment. The half-hour class is appropriate for children ages 4 through 6. Classes are $14.




Children ages 5 through 7 can learn dance moves at Latin Fever Dance Studio tonight at 5:15 p.m. The salsa portion is taught by Marisol Ramirez at 5:15 p.m. and the ballet portion is taught by Jazmin Salley at 6 p.m.

Back at Midwood Martial Arts at 7 p.m., learn aspects of Muy Thai and karate from instructors who hold black belts in martial arts. Adults and teens are welcome to drop in on this $14 ongoing class.


Women and girls ages six and up are welcome to take this 8 p.m. Zumba class that combines cardio, body sculpting and toning, all with a touch of Latin flavor and the rhythms of world music. Individual classes are $14 and are held at Midwood Martial Arts.
