Flatbush Driver Fatally Strikes Pedestrian, Hits Five Vehicles: NYPD

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene at Avenue A and Linden Boulevard, police told Patch.

EAST FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — An erratic driver fatally struck a 43-year-old Brooklyn man who was crossing an East Flatbush street Monday evening, police told Patch. The driver continued down the street after he struck the man and hit three stopped vehicles before he stopped the car, police said.

The incident happened at about 5:21 p.m. at Avenue A and Linden Boulevard. The victim, Marlon Palacious, was crossing the street from the southeast side of Avenue A to the northwest side when he was struck by a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police told Patch.

Further investigation by the NYPD determined that the Pathfinder was operated by a 40-year-old male. The man was traveling eastbound on Avenue A from Remsen Avenue when he first struck two double parked vehicles and continued eastbound on Avenue A, police told Patch.

The driver then struck Palacious on Linden Boulevard. He continued driving and hit two more parked vehicles, police said. The driver then struck a 2012 Audi sedan, operated by a 41-year-old woman, which was stopped at the corner of Avenue A and Linden Boulevard, police said.

The driver finally stopped the car on the westside of Avenue A and Linden Boulevard after he hit the Audi. The drivers of both vehicles remained on the scene, police said.
