Flatbush Money Bag Thefts: $12.5K Stolen From McDonald's & Office

Police are looking for men who stole bags of money from Flatbush businesses in November.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for thieves who walked away with bags full of money they stole from a Flatbush McDonald’s parking lot and law office.

Two men stormed the McDonald’s parking lot at 5804 Clarendon Road around 11:45 a.m. on Nov. 20 and demanded a 55-year-old man hand over his bag, which contained about $10,000 cash, police said.

When the 55-year-old refused to hand over the cash, one man pulled out a gun, and the man complied, said police.

Surveillance footage shows the thieves — dressed in black jackets and hoodies — stomping away with the cash before returning to grab the man’s cellphone and watch.

Ten days later, a man burst into a law office at 1431 Nostrand Ave. and snatched a bag with $2,500 cash inside it around 11:50 a.m. on Nov. 30, police said.

The law office thief wore a black baseball cap, grey hoodie, red jacket, camouflage pants and white sneakers, said police.

It was not immediately known whether the two incidents were related, police said.
