John Guari CD Release Show

Composer and songwriter-pianist John Guari moved to the neighborhood over the summer, and next week he's playing a CD release show for his recently-released piano pop project, JG.

The show is on Saturday, December 17 at the Village Lantern in Manhattan (167 Bleecker Street) at 8pm. $10 cover and a limited number of physical copies of Baritone EP will be available for $5.

Baritone EP can be streamed for free and purchased digitally here.

About John:

JG is the independent solo pop project of Minnesota-born, Brooklyn-based Grammy Award Nominated composer John Guari. Also a singer-songwriter-pianist, John has worked with Ben Folds, the Apples in stereo and numerous local NYC groups. Barritone EP draws inspiration from many of the great pop piano players (Joel, John, Wonder, Newman, Folds, Fagen) and an eclectic mix of others (Frank Zappa, They Might Be Giants, Death Cab For Cutie). JG stretches the limits of the piano pop song witha careful ear for melody and a forward-thinking sound that shows reverence for the past.
