Man And Woman Killed In Flatbush Fire, Officials Says
A 59-year-old woman and 36-year-old man died when a fire erupted on East 22nd Street and Ditmas Avenue Wednesday morning, police said.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Two people lost their lives Wednesday morning when a fire ravaged a Brooklyn apartment building, officials said.
Firefighters rushed to the top floor of the six-story building at 529 East 22nd St. at about 2:05 a.m. Wednesday morning, the FDNY and police said.
It took more than two and a half hours to get the fire under control, at which point emergency responders found a 59-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man in their sixth floor apartment, police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was rushed to Kings County Hospital, but doctors could not save him, said police.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, said police.
