  1. On Thursday Mayor Eric Adams announced a new Office of Faith-Based and Community Partnership," that will be led by Pastor Gilford Monrose, a member of the Flatbush 67th Precinct Clergy "God Squad." The office will be part of a larger community affairs unit. (Politico)
  2. A man considered the "mastermind" of the 2011 killing of Ditmas Park café owner Joshua Rubin was sentenced to 28 years in federal prison on Thursday. Kevin Taylor, 28, had pleaded guilty to two charges of murder in September, and said that after he's served his time he intends to "live my life with meaning and purpose." (New York Post )
  3. One man was shot dead and two more were injured in an East Flatbush shooting on Thursday, in broad daylight. (New York Post )
